An event every week that begins at 3:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursday, repeating until March 4, 2021
Open to all 1st-3rd grade students, our research-based curriculum focuses on building reading and writing skills with minimum screen time, and maximum engagement!
WordLab is an opportunity to build literacy skills in a small community of learners guided by expert teachers. Grounded in nature and infused with joy, our hands-on approach builds skills in reading, writing, and spelling, AND boosts confidence.
– Read alouds for comprehension and vocabulary building
– Interactive explorations with materials sent in a special care package
– Break-out groups for focused Structured Word Inquiry lessons
– Group reflection and sharing for community building
With built-in movement breaks and activities designed to get children to engage with the natural world around them – this isn’t just more screen time!
Our Winter session is WATER CYCLE themed!
Inquiry grows where water flows! In this series, Word Scientists will explore states of matter as they write and record the exciting changes they observe through a flurry of fun, hands-on activities that bring the wonders of the water cycle into your home.
